I am busy building a buggy as well, and I am going matt black with small sections of metalic red and silver pin stripes

IMHO Buggies look best in bold, bright solid colours.
Yellow, orange, lime green and white all work well as does red (if it’s a good blood red and not a pink-ish one).
You don’t need to go too wild with paint as Buggies are a wild enough shape to start with…
